The Official Blurb:
Join UBC Linguistics on Imagine Day (Tuesday, September 4)! The UBC Linguistics Department is a dynamic group of faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students who study language from a diverse range of perspectives. Join us to hear about our interdisciplinary laboratory space, our fieldwork teams, and research opportunities for undergraduate students. You can also learn how to get involved in the Speech and Linguistics Student Association (SALSA) or just come for the opportunity to talk with current faculty and students! There will be information about how linguistics undergrads can get involved in several undergraduate programs, including Co-op and Go Global.
The Linguistics Imagine Day event is from 11-2pm in Buchanan B218. Our Linguistics representative at the library, Susan Atkey, will be giving a presentation at 12 about how linguists can make maximal use of the library’s resources. During the rest of the event, students will have the opportunity to mingle with current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty.
We hope to see you there!
